Tonga Introduces New Series of Banknotes into Circulation

The National Reserve Bank of Tonga (NRBT) unveils new series of banknotes featuring Polymer substrates and enhanced security features. On December 4, the National Reserve Bank of Tonga (NRBT) marked a significant milestone with the launch of Tonga's new series of banknotes. The chosen date for the release holds special significance as it commemorates the birthday of King Tupou I, a key modernizer who reigned from 1845 to 1893. Produced in collaboration with De La Rue, the new banknote series incorporates both paper and polymer substrates, introducing updated security elements to enhance durability and deter counterfeiting. This redesign represents Tonga's first use of polymer in its currency since 2015. The series comprises 2-, 5-, 10-, 20-, 50-, and 100-pa’anga notes, with the colors remaining unchanged. Pakistan 75 Rs 2022 | Pick 56a | PMG Banknote

The State Bank of Pakistan commemorated the 75th year of Pakistan's independence in 2022 by issuing a special 75 Rupees banknote. PMG (Paper Money Guaranty) has professionally graded this unique banknote as Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ (Exceptional Paper Quality). Notably, this is the first-ever 75 Rs denomination banknote issued by Pakistan.

The front of the banknote showcases a vibrant emerald green color scheme, with the denomination highlighted in a transition from green to gold. It also features the 75th Anniversary logo and portraits of notable figures including Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Allama Sir Muhammad Iqbal, and Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah.

On the reverse side, you'll find the Bank's logo, a captivating view of Earth as seen from space, a depiction of the Markhor (Capra Falconeri), and the iconic Deodar Tree. The denomination is also incorporated as a registration device, and the banknote is secured with a windowed holographic security thread.
